Sparrowhawk - Self Assessment System
Sparrowhawk Control Self Assessment software is designed to help organisations manage their controls and procedures.
What is Sparrowhawk?
Sparrowhawk is a simplified version of our CASA self assessment software. It is designed be a quick, easy to use, paperless input system and offers automatic and instant consolidation of results. It is web based and can be run across your intranet or the internet.
It is intended to help users, not just get information from them, but is designed to do this by giving users access to online procedures or best practice. It also involves users in a positive way by giving the link between controls and procedures manuals, by facilitating training on these procedures and by giving a means of feeding back issues or comments on the operation to the centre.
Typical areas of usage include Risk Assessment, Health and Safety, Financial Compliance, Legal Compliance, Cleaning, Trading Standards, Human Resource, Cash Control, Training, New Issues and Self Audit.

How does it work? - Users Point of View
Colleagues are presented with a checklist of questions relating to their working
environment and are asked to rank their performance on a predetermined scale, by
carrying out validation tests. They then do a simple three step process:
- Step One - Enter your scores and feedback
- Step Two - Review your scores
- Step Three - Sign off

If a colleague is uncertain as to what the correct procedures are, Sparrowhawk has a hyper link to the 'Best Practices'.
How does it work? - Managers Point of View
Management can review on an ongoing basis who and what has been reviewed and has
been signed off. They can see what the current or historical position is in the
form of data or clickable graphs. Managers or auditors can also act as independent
reviewers.

Historical Review
Historical data can be easily reviewed and can identify common failures by date and site. This can be via clickable drill down or sideways graphs or comprehensive prewritten and formatted data reporting.
